West Virginia Eastern Panhandle Beekeepers Association Offers Scholarship

Not only are honey bees decreasing in the United States, but also the number of beekeepers. Each year the WVEPBA gives scholarships to two youths 12-17 years of age to prepare them to become beekeepers.  It is their objective to increase the ranks of young beekeepers in Berkeley, Jefferson and Morgan counties.  The average age of beekeepers is now 60 years of age and increasing.
